Aside from being a month of love, February is Black History Month. It's a time to celebrate Black people's achievements, contributions and rich culture. But what happens after that? Does BHM end after the 28 days of February? Do we go about our everyday lives waiting for the following February before we celebrate? Truth is, 28 days isn't enough to honor the richness of Black history and keep it alive for our children.
Let’s face it - kids today are true digital nomads. It’s almost as if they were practically born swiping and scrolling. Gen Alpha, the youngest generation of everyone, might be the ultimate masters at navigating tablets and touchscreens, but behind that, they’re just kids who crave to be seen.
As the holidays begin to close in, everyone’s looking forward to the excitement that comes with it. We’re looking forward to unwrapping Christmas gifts, going out and feasting. It’s easy to think that if a parent looks like they’ve got everything under control, they must be doing just fine.
